BLYTH SPARTANS have released goalkeeping coach Carl King.

King joined the Northern Premier League Premier Division club from Whitley Bay in June 2011 but has now been deemed surplus to requirements at Croft Park following a review of the club’s staff structure.

A statement on the club’s website said: “The club would like to take this opportunity to thank Carl for his commitment and enthusiasm in his work at the club and wishes him good luck for the future.”
