GOOLE AFC have parted company with manager Dave Anderson, leaving the club to search for their third manager of the season.

Anderson, a former Vikings player, joined the club in September to replace Lee Morris, who left to take the reins at Evo-Stik NPL Premier outfit Frickley Athletic.

The former Barton Town Old Boys boss has lasted less than three months back at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds, however, following a tough run of results.

Anderson oversaw just three victories in his 14 league games in charge while eight defeats during that time have left the Vikings second from bottom in the Evo-Stik NPL North.

Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to fellow strugglers Prescot Cables was the final straw and the club announced Anderson’s departure on Monday.

A Goole statement read: “Following a run of poor results, club directors have today (Monday) taken the decision to part company with Dave Anderson and Mally Parker.

“We would like to thank Dave and Mally for their efforts and we wish them both well for the future. A further statement will be announced in due course.”
