North Ferriby

National League North strugglers North Ferriby have appointed former player Chirs Bolder as the club’s new manager.
The 30-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at Hull City, made his professional bow at Grimsby in 2001 before spending three seasons with the Villagers between 2005 and 2008.
After 12 months at Guiseley, Bolder returned to North Ferriby in 2009 and spent a further four years with the club, and he is now relishing his first managerial role – replacing Steve Housham, who left earlier this month.
In a statement on North Ferriby’s Twitter account, Bolder said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to work at this level.
“My immediate goal is stay up and we can’t think about anything else. Long term, it’s about development of players and a club for the local area.”
Bolder arrives from Evo-Stik North side Scarborough Athletic, who he joined as a player in 2013 before earning coaching experience alongside Matty Bloor and, more recently, Steve Kittrick.
North Ferriby are struggling at the foot of the National League North, with just seven points and one win all season.
