Mystery still surrounds National League club Woking’s long-awaited takeover after Alexander Jarvis, of Blackbridge Sports, tweeted that the club would announce in “Q1” of 2018.
The Cards entered an investment partnership with Jarvis in May and then the club announced that a deal had been “agreed” but eight months on, the takeover is yet to be completed.
Quizzed by a fan on Twitter, Jarvis replied: “The Club will announce in Q1, 2018.”
But the question that needs answering is: what will the club announce in 2018? Jarvis’ answer could be interpreted either way.

The NLP contacted Woking about the tweet and were told that Jarvis “does not make any statements on behalf of the club” and they would not be making any further comment.
Jarvis has been unavailable for comment at both his London and Liverpool offices.
The transfer of shares from majority shareholder Peter Jordan to the new investor was scheduled to take place at a club AGM in May. However, that meeting was postponed.
In July, Woking confirmed that they were still engaged in discussions with potential investors but a non-disclosure agreement meant they were unable to give any further information.
