Maidenhead United move to bring in striker Ryan Bird

Maidenhead United have completed the signing of striker Ryan Bird from National League rivals Dover Athletic.
The 30-year-old front man had a prolific goal scoring record last season, finding the net16 times as the Whites finished agonisingly close to the play-off positions.
Bird began his career with Burnham, where is goal scoring exploits secured him a move to Football League side Portsmouth in 2013.
After making 20 appearances for Pompey, the striker spent a season with Cambridge United before joining Yeovil, Eastleigh and Newport County.
Bird then signed for Dover last summer after being released by the Welsh side.
The striker is Maidenhead’s fourth exciting summer signing, joining Max Worsfold, Ayo Obileye and Herson Alves in signing up for the new season.
Maidenhead finished up in 12th position in the National League last season but will be hoping that their new recruits can fire them towards a possible promotion push in the new season.
