Gateshead’s Steve Watson commits for another season

have revealed that manager Steve Watson will continue to take charge of the side next season.
The news comes just days after the club's owners Richard and Julie Bennett announced that a proposed takeover of the club had fallen through and that a significantly reduced budget would have to be submitted.
Watson, who has been in charge of the Tyne and Wear club since 2017, guided Gateshead to a 17th place in the National League table this season.
The Gateshead boss said, ““I'm ready to take the challenge on a much smaller scale
“It's a different type of challenge with different types of players and different circumstances.
“I don't consider myself a quitter. I've come up here and committed myself to the club.
“I was always willing to stay on if a takeover had gone ahead and having a good budget, but I'm still here. I enjoy it and love being back in the North East.”
