Barnet complete double signing

Barnet have boosted their chances of making an instant return to the Football League next season after completing the double signing of Cheye Alexander and Jack Barham.
Alexander has signed a two-year contract with the North London club after joining from National League rivals Aldershot for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old defender made 44 appearances for the Shots last season, as they narrowly missed out on promotion, falling to Ebbsfleet in the play-off eliminator.
The England C international came through the academy structure at West Ham before representing the likes of Port Vale and Concord Rangers.
Barnet boss John Still told the club’s official website, “I have known Cheye for a number of years, I’ve tried to sign him before and it hasn’t worked out. He’s a right-sided defender and supporters will love him.
“He’s good going forward and he’s got a great attitude, great work ethic and he’s had a couple of good years at Aldershot and has played for the national team as well.”
Later on, on Tuesday afternoon, the Bees announced that Barham had signed from Greenwich Borough.
The 22-year-old attracted plenty of attention last season after finding the net 37 times in the Isthmian South Division.
The striker expressed his delight at moving up the Non-League pyramid, saying , “It’s been a long season, but I’ve worked hard for this so I can’t wait to get started!
“It’s nice to get a deal over the line, I can now get my head down into full-time training and work really hard and hopefully do it at this level as well.
“My dream as a little boy was to have my name on the back of a shirt, so to now have that I can kick on and show the Barnet supporters what I can do.”
