Chester complete the signing of Dan Mooney on loan deal from Fleetwood Town

Newly relegated National League North side Chester have brought in highly rated young forward Dan Mooney on a  loan deal from League One side Fleetwood.
The 19-year-old Wales youth international had previous spells on loan Bamber Bridge and Ashton United last season and was part of the Robins’ squad that won promotion to the National League North last season.
Chester’s joint manager Anthony Johnson told the club’s official website, “Dan is someone we were aware of last season whilst on loan at Bamber Bridge and then at Ashton United.
“He played a massive part in both clubs promotions, so even at his age he has experienced the highs and expectations of winning.
“He gives us balance to the squad as a naturally left footed player but is more than capable with his right as well. He’s another exciting, young player that will have the supporters on the edge of their seats.
“We would like to say a massive thanks to Joey Barton and Steve Eyre at Fleetwood for inviting us to watch their behind closed doors friendly on Tuesday which Dan played in.”
