Promotion chasing Chesterfield have announced the signing of winger Kyel Reid.
The 30-year-old Deptford born midfielder has put pen to paper on a contract until the end of the season with Martin Allen’s side.
Reid spent his youth career with West Ham where he was loaned out to the likes of Barnsley, Crystal Palace and Wolves.
He went on to make moves to Sheffield United, Charlton Athletic, Bradford City and Preston North End before joining Coventry City in the summer of 2016.
Reid made 41 appearances during a two year stint with the Sky Blues and was part of the squad that won promotion to League One last season.
When the winger was part of the West Ham academy he earned caps for the England U17, U18 and U19 sides.
