Mad Dog needs a win… and he knows it 

It seems a long time ago that Chesterfield had won their first three games of the season with the pre-season feel good factor created by Martin Allen growing by the minute.
But nine winless matches later, including a six-game losing streak, and the pressure is mounting. A 3-0 home defeat to Gateshead on Saturday left Allen worrying about his job.
“There’s got to be questions asked. I’d be asking questions,” he said. “They’ll probably be the same questions they asked the last manager and the last manager and the last manager. So you’re going to keep adding them and adding them.
“I will get it right because I always do but certainly for now it is a headache.”
Maidenhead United are the visitors to the Proact Stadium, who after a slow start have found their feet with youngster Josh Kelly impressing.
 

How will Harrogate Town and Wrexham respond?

Leyton Orient ended Harrogate’s superb unbeaten start to the season with a fine 3-0 away win while Wrexham suffered their heaviest defeat this year going down by the same scoreline at Sutton.
The two sides go head-to-head tonight at Harrogate’s Wetherby Road in a second vs third clash, both hoping to return to winning ways.
Harrogate were knocked off top spot by the O’s as Wrexham’s impressive Luke Summerfield was sent off.
 

Leyton Orient’s away following at Braintree Town

Over 1,300 travelling supporters are expected at Cressing Road as the O’s aim to continue their unbeaten start.
Justin Edinburgh has transformed the club since his arrival midway through last season when they were in free fall having been relegated from the Football League.
Braintree have struggled to adapt to life at Step 1 so far following promotion and are yet to win at home.
It will feel like an away game for the hosts, who will be outnumbered by one of the biggest away followings of the season.
 

Can Salford City keep the momentum going?

Graham Alexander’s side have been moving through the gears in the last few weeks, now they face their toughest test of the season so far.
Hartlepool United visit the Penisula Stadium this evening and are just a point behind the hosts, sitting in fourth.
Both sides are unbeaten in their last nine games with Salford having won their last four. After a cautious start the Ammies are now in their stride – let’s see what they’re made of tonight.
