Winger Andre Coker and former Bournemouth striker Joe Quigley have been transfer listed while defenders Michee Efete and Jordan Wynter have also been told they are not in Wheeler’s plans.
Academy graduate Jack Richards and back-up goalkeeper Matt Funnell are available too.
The Stones take on struggling Chesterfield this weekend at the Gallagher Stadium.
