Northern Premier League leaders Nantwich Town have secured the future of impressive youngster Joe Malkin.
The 20-year-old forward has signed a contract with the Dabbers after shining in the first half of the season.
Malkin has showed plenty of promise since joining from Cammell Laird in the summer, scoring five goals in December and providing depth to Dave Cooke’s squad.
He has signed a contract with a two-year option, securing his future at the club as Nantwich look to continue their push for promotion.
Malkin said: “It’s an exciting time for me, I can only thank Dave [Cooke] for giving me the chance to be where I am now.
“It’s only a bonus to be around players with such quality, they’ve taught me a lot since I’ve arrived, and I’m very excited for the future.
“Hopefully we can clinch promotion and test ourselves in the next division up, as the ground and facilities are excellent and most of the players and staff have worked at a higher level.
“I’d like to keep learning and improving and I think that will be best achieved at Nantwich.”
