Mark Yates looking ahead to Kidderminster Harriers’ promotion push

They’re still in touch with the top seven and Yates has been charged with taking them back into it

New Kidderminster Harries boss Mark Yates says it’s only worth worrying about the future as he looks to jump-start their promotion push.
The National League North side have seen results dip in recent weeks and Neil MacFarlane departed the dug-out in early January.
But they’re still in touch with the top seven and Yates has been charged with taking them back into it.
He knows the club well having played and managed them previously and now the former Cheltenham and Solihull Moors boss is ready to start their “mini-season”.
“We are literally two points outside the play-offs,” Yates said. “The club has gone through a sticky spell – the last couple of months haven’t been what everyone at the club would have wanted but it’s gone.
“Other teams have beat us, been better than us or things have gone their way. All we’ve got to worry about is the next 14 games.
“We’ve had a good week. We’ve been lucky with the weather and we start a 14-game mini season on Saturday away at Ashton.”
