North Ferriby takeover appears to inch closer

Hull Live are reporting that a takeover of side United could be completed soon.
The Yorkshire club were put up for sale recently after owner Carl Chadwick's plans to both re-locate and re-name the for former winners was rejected by the FA.
Speaking to Hull Live, Chadwick said, “Yes the club will be sold, hopefully to someone who will invest heavily because with Ferriby's fan base that's the only way to move forward. The Forsters achieved success by funding heavily but this was not our model”.
The Villagers owner added, “The latest interested party want to move quickly but they need a 25 year lease off the council as there is only 18 months left on the current lease, they want security of tenure and why wouldn't they if they are going to invest heavily?
“I just hope the council do the right thing and grant them what they want as it can only be good for North Ferriby United.”
North Ferriby are currently cut adrift at the bottom of the Northern Premier League and look set for a third consecutive relegation.
