A round-up of last night’s National League action

Leyton Orient moved a step closer to the title, while relegation looks increasingly likely for both Havant & Waterlooville and Aldershot.

A round-up

Leyton Orient further strengthened their title credentials with a comfortable 2-0 win at home to fellow promotion challengers AFC Fylde last night.
The O’s eased to victory thanks to first half goals from defender Marvin Ekpiteta and the free scoring Macauley Boonne.
Last night’s result has seen Justin Edinburgh’s side move two points clear of second placed Solihull Moors, who drew 2-2 at out of form Boreham Wood.
Crucially, Orient also hold two games in hand over both the Moors and third placed Wrexham.
At the other end of the table, Maidenhead United sucked Havant & Waterlooville further into the National League relegation zone with a 2-1 win at The Gallagher Stadium.
Havant are now seven points adrift of safety after Dover Athletic raced to a superb 3-1 win at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Elsewhere, FC Halifax Town and Ebbsfleet United played out a goalless draw, while Gary Waddock’s Aldershot are now buried in the relegation zone by ten points after falling to a 2-0 defeat at Barnet.
