Josh McQuoid pens new Weymouth deal

McQuoid joined the Terras towards the end of pre-season last year, but went on to have an injury-hit season

Josh McQuoid

After gaining promotion back to Step 2, Weymouth have announced Josh McQuoid has agreed terms to stay at the club for the forthcoming season.
McQuoid joined the Terras towards the end of pre-season last year, but went on to have an injury-hit season, as Mark Molesley’s side raced to promotion. Are they good value for next season? Head to ghost betting tips.
He starred in the 5-0 demolition of Dorchester in August, but saw his season curtailed by injury, before making it back for the 1-1 draw with Chesham United in April as the Terras looked to secure Evo-Stik Southern Premier South title.
Terras’ Director of Football Paul Maitland said: “Obviously when he came in last pre-season it was purely to keep himself ticking over.
“We were fortunate that because of the way we do things and the way that we train it made it a little bit more appealing to him, and we were fortunate enough to be able to sign him.
“Then obviously just as he was starting to hit his stride he picked up an unfortunate knee injury and robbed us of him for most of the season.
“What we found over the course of the season is a player who is very committed to the cause, very appreciative of the support that he received from the club and for us it was an absolute no brainer to try and get him to stay for another season.
“We are obviously absolutely delighted that he is”
The Terras are now preparing to return to Step 2 football after a long period in the wilderness of Step 3.
