AN EARLY goal in both halves looked to see both sides leave with a point, before a well-placed Wes Atkinson finish earned Alfreton backto- back home wins.
Sam Smith opened the scoring, prodding home after his initial shot was saved by keeper Dave Carnell.
FC United equalised shortly after half-time, George Thomson found space in the area and hit a volley past Fabien Speiss.
A stalemate half an hour followed, before some well-worked play down the right-hand side left Craig Westcarr with time to look up and pick a pass.
