BRIGHTLINGSEA took advantage of a Hornchurch team missing three key players to boost their Championship hopes as they produced the goods when it mattered most to take all three points.
After Martin Tuohy had gone close, Brightlingsea took the lead when Billy Hunt took advantage of an Alex Bentley error to fire the ball home on 15 minutes.
Although Hornchurch had the better of the play, an excellent goal by Phil Kelly came on 59 minutes when he took the ball around Elliot Styles and fired it into the net from an acute angle to really drive things on.
