SINCE booking their places at Wembley for FA Non-League Finals Day The Sequel, South Shields and Cleethorpes Town have been a bit busy.
On Tuesday night, a 1-0 win against Consett put South Shields a point away from promotion, on account that North Shields above them haven’t applied to make the step up. It also stretched their winning streak to 30 games in a row before yesterday’s epic first-versus-second showdown against the league leaders (see page 7).
