WINGATE & FINCHLEY remain in the thick of the topfive hunt after this late win.
The hosts had 16 efforts on Kieron Thorp’s goal but left itt for 81 minutes to seal victory. Tommy Tejan-Sie’s early toepoke was pushed wide by Thorp.
Worthing’s Brannon O’Neil curled a free kick over the bar for on 25 minutes.
Ten minutes later, Thorp pushed away Ahmet Rifat’s 30- yard effort.
In the dying minutes of the half, Reece Beckles-Richards’ shot-cum-cross flashed across the Worthing goal.
