Newton slaughters woeful Stalybridge

STALYBRIDGE CELTIC’S 13- year stay in National League North ended with a whimper as they were slaughtered by Tamworth.
Danny Newton’s perfect hattrick was enough for the Lambs to cruise home in a game Celtic needed to win to avoid the drop.
The game was over as a contest within 17 minutes, with Tamworth three-up.
Newton struck in the fifth and seventh minutes, his first goal a neat finish after a cross from Connor Taylor and the second a header from Taylor’s corner.
