JOHN FRENDO’S late goals lifted a dull affair in what was effectively a dead rubber.
In a goalless first half the highlight was a superb save by Hanwell’s Melvin Minter from a snap shot by Frendo.
In the second half, the title-winning Crows continued to huff and puff but with no real breakthrough for most of the time.
Joe Welch in the Royston goal was also called upon to make an impressive tip over. The deadlock was finally broken on 80 minutes when Gus Scott-Morriss put in a low cross for Frendo to execute a good diving header into the net.
