JOHN McDERMOTT says the time is right for him to go it alone in management after taking the Alfreton Town job – as he predicted big things for the newlyflush club.
The Reds said they weren’t going to hang around in appointing their new manager and a day after Wembley disappointment with Cleethorpes Town, McDermott got the nod.
McDermott, who had been the Owls’ director of football, is a friend of Alfreton’s new investor Lee Mullen, the lottery winner who last week confirmed he will be investing in the club.
