Compass confusion has us all in a fluster

I WOULD like to raise the issue of geographical confusion in the letter from Mike Harris (Fans’ Forum, June 25).
He states the Southern League Central is to be known as the South East League and Nigel Dunk confuses the Northern League (Step 5 & 6) with the Northern Premier League (Steps 3 & 4). It got me thinking of how many compass point leagues there are.
Of the 43 leagues from Step 1-6, 31 have a compass point in its title or division name, therefore only 12 have some other form of geographical locator eg: Essex Senior League, Midland Football League.
