DARLINGTON will be wondering how they left with just a solitary point after dominating the first half.
David Ferguson, Josh Gillies and James Caton caused mayhem down the left in creating chances, especially for Mark Beck. However, the striker wasted them and Darlington went in at halftime with a one-goal lead.
Phil Turnbull and Stephen Thompson combined to put in Gillies. He cut across two defenders before firing low past Ross Durrant.
