LANCASTER City extended their unbeaten start to the campaign after they earned a point on the road.
Hednesford would go close to opening the scoring in the 12th minute when Sam Oji planted a free header wide.
After a succession of Town corner Lancaster worked themselves into a shooting position in the 23rd minute but Benjamin Hudson missed.
A similar fate would await Hednesford’s Jordan Nadat before a looping header from Lancaster’s Simon Wills landed on the roof of the net.
