AARONO’Connor’s goal two minutes from time saw Kettering settle a sizzling FA Cup tie which saw Basford come from two goals down.
Kettering’s Rhys Hoenes opened the scoring in the 16th minute, racing on to a through ball to round Saul Deeney and score.
Hoenes was involved again two minutes later, his run causing problems as O’Connor swept in the loose ball. Kieran Fenton put Basford back in the game a minute before half-time, and ten minutes into the second half Matthew Thornhill fired them level.
