■ TWO first-half penalties helped Maldon to this win over Tilbury.
They opened the scoring through Ryan Gondoh before the first of the spot-kicks. Junior Ogedi- Uzokwe was brought down and converted the kick. Then, Ryan Clampin’s run into the box was stopped and Ogedi- Uzokwe stepped up for his second. Ogedi-Uzokwe completed his hat-trick after the break, but Maldon then decided to rest on their laurels allowing Tilbury to hit back with two goals from substitute Luke Hornsley.
