■SOUTH SHIELDS made it comfortably through to the next round with a win over Scarborough Athletic.
Gavin Cogden got the visitors going with a weaving run before blasting past goalkeeper Tommy Taylor.
Boro hit back though as Michael Coulson whipped a free-kick over the wall and in to level the scores.
Carl Finnigan pounced at the near post to give Shields the lead again, before Matty Pattison drilled into the top corner and Finnigan got his second finishing a Cogdon cross in quick succession to make it 4-1 to the visitors.
