BRENTWOOD TOWN 3 NEEDHAM MARKET 1

■A DAZZLING first half by Brentwood earned them a surprise FA Trophy win over higher- league opponents. Connor Martin headed Blues in front in the 24th minute, and Matt Price nearly made it 2-0 in the 32nd minute but his penalty hit the bar.
Two minutes later Andy Freeman’s header did it make it 2-0, from another Luke Foster cross, and Price cleverly back-heeled a third goal just before half-time. Diaz Wright reduced the arrears in the 66th minute but the Marketmen were down to ten for the last nine minutes after Armani Schaar was sent off.
