BRAVO to the St Albans City reporter and statistician Dave Tavener, who has finally managed to facilitate the installation of the headstone on the previously unmarked grave of the club’s legendary goalscorer, Billy Minter, who still holds an FA Cup record for scoring seven goals against Dulwich Hamlet in 1922 while still finishing on the losing side.
Perhaps it can be a comfort to Hamlet that crowdfunding can work.
