CITY PLOT A BIG RETURN

GROUNDWORK has begun on a mooted scheme to bring Worcester City back home.
A series of test holes have been dug at the site of the proposed new ground in Parsonage Way, Warndon, to see whether the farmland is suitable.
While the former Step 2 club, now playing in the Midland Premier, are being backed by Worcester City Council to the tune of £100,000 over the stadium scheme, no application for planning permission for it has yet been submitted. The money will be used to support and technical work that is required on the land.
