■STAMFORD and Alvechurch scrapped out a tough stalemate.
It was the Daniels who had the early chances. A mistake from the Alvechurch defence let Liam Adams in but his effort was cleared off the line. Jake Duffy then tried his luck but that was deflected for a corner.
Alvechurch replied with a free-kick from Ashmore that was smartly saved By Dan Haystead.
A Jake Duffy free-kick was headed down to Rob Morgan whose shot was brilliantly saved, while Delroy Gordon save his late header hit the crossbar.
