A BLISTERING first 45 minutes ensured that Beaconsfield had beaten Ashford Town by halftime. New signing Lee Barney made the most of a poor back pass to put the home side ahead on 23 minutes while man-of-thematch Reece Yorke headed home a pinpoint Wes Daly free-kick on 35 minutes.
It was 3-0 on 39 minutes when Alex Cathline fired past Tyler Tobin after some good build-up play by the home side, and just before half-time the impressive Barney was hacked down in the area and Baj Pashaj made no mistake from the spot.
