White Tigers’ push for play-offs dented

CITY’S play-off hopes suffered an unwelcome setback.
Two terrible defensive errors in the opening half allowed the league’s top scorer Sam Higgins to take his season’s tally to 25 and a late penalty from City substitute Tyler Harvey was not enough to protect their unbeaten five-match run.
Full credit though must go to a well-drilled East Thurrock side, who were by far the better team in the opening 45 minutes.
They deservedly took the lead after 19 minutes when Higgins took advantage of a defensive mix-up.
