■IN A MATCH that meant so much to Shaw Lane, it was a case of one game too many for the Ducks as they settled for a point in their ‘home’ game against a determined and disciplined Lancaster City.
Pitch problems at Sheerien Park saw the league allow the game to be played at the visitors’ Giant Axe ground.
The tempo was set to pre-season from the kick-off as weather more suited to July almost proved too much for both teams as they struggled.
