BRAINTREE replaced Truro City in the playoff places on goal difference after coming out on top.
In tricky conditions, the football on show was not one for the purists, but neither team could be faulted for their endeavour, with Dan Thompson’s secondhalf winner giving the Essex side three priceless points.
