WARRINGTON were made to wait to confirm a home playoff semi-final.
The Yellows dominated two thirds of the game, needing a win to guarantee a top-three finish, and broke the deadlock through Jamie McDonald.
But Halesowen, who registered their first shot on 70 minutes, fought back to claim an unlikely point thanks to substitute Roland Agbor. Warrington set the tempo from the start and came close to scoring when Sean Williams hit the crossbar with a stunning volley from 25 yards.
