■CHIPPENHAM picked up a narrow victory over Welling to secure 13th spot in their first term at Step 2 level. Despite being on the pitch for little more than half an hour before being subbed due to an ankle injury, home hitman Andy Sandell proved a thorn in the Wings side.
A first-minute effort saw his shot land on top of the net before a further effort was deflected behind. Sandell then flicked on for Jon Beeden who headed over.
