HISTORY RE-MADE IN NAME CHANGE

A FAMOUS name will be back in the pyramid next season when Waltham Forest change their name to Walthamstow for their 150th season.
Walthamstow Avenue were one of the most successful amateur clubs of the 1950s, but lost their identity in 1988 when they merged into the amalgamated club of Leytonstone/Ilford, who later became Redbridge Forest – which continued the merger trend to join forces with Dagenham to become Dagenham and Redbridge.
