Restructure system has made no difference

I WONDER if all the campaigners who insisted that a new Midland division at Step 3 would stop teams travelling long distances are now eating their words at the announcment of the new league restructures (NLP, May 13)?
At Step 3, Lowestoft to Hednesford is around a 400-mile round trip and Workington to Grantham is even worse, at 420 miles.
As for Morpeth to Wisbech at Step 4, that’s 450 miles!
For many teams, the structure has little, if any, impact on their travel distance, time and costs.
