Abbott double sinks Red Rebels

BOSTON’s Brad Abbott piled more misery on FC United as his double made it three defeats in a week.
After back-to-back defeats by local rivals Stockport and Ashton to open the season, the Red Rebels began the game in a nervy fashion, looking avoid three defeats in a week while Boston looked far stronger.
The experience in FC’s back four was the only thing that managed to keep the game level for 22 minutes, but Abbott broke the deadlock after a quick corner to give the Pilgrims a much deserved lead.
