FLYING forward RHYS Hoeness fired Kettering to all three points on the road at Hitchin.
The hosts’ Jack Green had an early effort go wide while at the other end, a probing run from Rhys Hoeness won a corner that gave Gary Stohrer a chance that was effectively blocked.
As Hitchin put in crosses, they found Kettering dominant in aerial defence and effective counter-play.
The only goal of the game came after 22 minutes following a shot from Michael Richens that was initially saved by Michael Johnson but his parry was seized upon by Hoeness, ...
