ITWAS a well-attended opening to the new season in the Bostik North as 567 supporters witnessed a lively start to proceedings at The Goldstar Ground, where Felixstowe & Walton United beat Bury Town 3-1.
United took an early lead as debutant Joe Bloomfield sent Miles Powell a perfectly flighted ball. Powell’s cross allowed another new boy, Rhys Henry, to hit the back of the net on five minutes.
Bury were reduced to 10 men on 33 minutes following a clash between Tommy Robinson and Felixstowe’s Josh Kerridge.
