BILLERICAY punished Hemel Hempstead for their profligacy.
Jordan Parkes had a shot deflected over early on and this was very much the story of the first half.
Billy Clifford cleared the bar from the edge of the box on 20 minutes and Parkes sent a freekick narrowly wide.
Then, a superb passing move ended up with Joe Howe firing over the bar, much to the frustration of the home crowd.
Steve Cawley headed wide at the back post and a minute later, he hit the top of the bar after some great build-up play.
