CITY AIM TO COME HOME

CANTERBURY City have lodged a bid to return home 19 years after losing their ground.
A planning application to the city council to develop an eight-acre sports hub at Bekesbourne has been submitted by the Southern Counties East club.
The plans also involve the relocation of Canterbury Rugby Club to their own 15-acre site. Chairman Tim Clark said: “This is a pivotal moment in the club’s history.”
