Ecstatic boss Adam Hinshelwood hailed players and fans alike as Worthing kicked off National League life with a sensational success at highly-fancied Carlisle.
Carlisle had the better of the first half, with several chances coming their way, and their patience was rewarded when they broke the deadlock through Georgie Kelly just before the break.
However, Worthing were much improved after the break, with the impressive Dominic Hutchinson firing them level.
