Febian Brandy opened the scoring, with a free kick.
Sefton Gonzales headed home from a corner to make it two and almost from kick-off, Brandy got his second.
Liam Caddick made it four on 28 minutes and Domaine Rouse was given time and space in the box to make it five.
A Shaquille Antoine- Clarke’s own goal and Ben Hodkinson’s efforts gave Widnes a route back in.
