Higgins’ header saves Rocks

THIS clash was billed as a relegation battle but there was little passion, vigour or quality from either side.
A draw, East Thurrock’s first of the season, was probably fair but both sides will need to improve if they are to climb away from the danger zone.
An insipid first half was enlivened only by a City goal two minutes before the break when Tyler Harvey stole in at the far post.
East Thurrock were better in the second half and got back on level terms when sub Freddie Moncur, on for Shaun Batt at half-time, hooked the ball in.
