GRAYS Athletic survived a second half fightback against Felixstowe & Walton United.
Grays took the lead when Joao Carlos scored after just two minutes.
In the 23rd minute, he turned provider and helped Kieran Bishop double the lead, registering his 44th goal in 84 games for the club, 38 of those in the league.
Newly-promoted Felixstowe & Walton United responded early in the second half when Miles Powell notched on 48 minutes but the Seasiders were unable to find an equaliser.
